Muddy Boots Family Trail Day: Adventures in Forest Investigations
Saturday, August 11
10:00 – 1:00pm
Learn some new skills with the Friends as we focus on forest investigation techniques for our second Muddy Boots event of 2012. We’ll have experienced guides stationed on our upper trails (near the visitor’s center) waiting to engage parents and children in fun and interactive investigation techniques that are designed for usefulness in a variety of outdoor environments. Bracelets will be available at the Visitor’s Center and families that collect all the bracelet beads (one from each activity station) will be given a prize to assist with future forest investigations.

Muddy Boots Family Trail Day

10:00 – 1:00pm
Join the Friends for some family fun on the trails as we kick off our first of many Muddy Boots events. We’ll have experienced forest interpreters stationed around the park waiting to share some fun facts and activities with you and your family. Each forest interpreter will have a special bag of props that will enable a more intimate understanding of this wonderful place. Interested families can pick up a Muddy Boots passport in the visitor’s center as they collect stamps from the different interpreters around the forest.
